Circle Singing — Held the fourth Saturday of every month from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sing for the fun of it. Circle singing is an improvisational, spontaneous experience. Swallow Hill calls it a “drum circle” for singers and takes inspiration from methods developed by Bobby McFerrin and his collaborators, where Circle Song leaders create parts on the spot and lead the group in making music. Sing harmony without sheet music, gain self-confidence and delight in creating music with others. This is a “mistake-free” zone for improvisational community singing.
Jams all take place at Swallow Hill Music, 71 E. Yale Ave., Denver, 303-777-1003.
