Frontier Airlines has made another move in the airline loyalty battle by offering Southwest Rapid Rewards members Frontier Miles Elite Gold Status through the end of the year. The cost? Just $40. And you don’t need elite status on Southwest to get the deal. As long as you are a Rapids Reward member you can take advantage of the Frontier offer.

Frontier Miles Elite Gold status benefits include:
- A free carry-on bag
- Zone 1 Priority Boarding
- Priority customer care
- Free preferred seat selection
- Eligibility for complimentary upgrades to premium seating at time of check-in and UpFront Plus (extra legroom with blocked middle seats) seating four hours prior to departure
Elite Gold status members additionally accrue miles and points at an expedited rate (14x per $1 spent on eligible Frontier purchases), making achievement of Elite Platinum and Elite Diamond status even easier.
To get the deal, consumers can visit frontier.getstatus.com by April 30 and provide their Rapid Rewards membership information along with payment of the $40 application fee.
If you aren’t already a member, start by joining Frontier Miles and then submit your match request. But remember you do already have to be a Rapid Rewards member. This promotion isn’t meant to push new signups for Southwest.
