What a sweet deal! The female African American-owned bakery Sweet Sweetz (2325 E. 28th Ave.) in Denver is featuring a very special The Color Purple weekend with a purple sampling of treats and a ticket for two (2) to see the new film in theaters. The shop sells a wide variety of sweet desserts (including cobbler, cupcakes and pie) and ice cream.

The highly anticipated film opens nationwide on December 25, 2023. The film gives a modern take on the film, introducing women uplifting women and the journey of finding one’s voice. Watch the trailer here.
