It’s playtime at Target, especially for bargain hunters. Our very own in-house cheapskates (Laura & Bryan!) have personally checked multiple locations and now’s the time to make a Target run for parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and anyone with children in their lives. The popular big-box chain has tons of toys on clearance, as they make room for the new toys coming in for the upcoming summer season.

Right now, you can find big savings in the toy section on many toys that didn’t sell over last year’s holiday season — from 30% to 70% off. The clearance is often bundled together in one section or aisle. However, you can also find discounted toys throughout the department. Always look for the yellow tags or stickers!
Seventy percent off is usually the ceiling for clearance at Target. Consider yourself extremely lucky, if you find any clearance at 90% off on Target’s shelves.
Now’s the time to shop for upcoming birthdays, the 2023 holiday season and other celebratory occasions. Just be sure to find a really good hiding spot, so snooping kids can’t find them.
As always, selection and the percentage discount vary by location. If you have the time, it may be worth the time to make a Target run to several locations.
For those clearance items 30% to 50% off, you can always wait to see if the price drops even more. However, there’s a chance the items will be gone by the time you return. It’s a gamble many bargain hunters are well aware of — buy now at a good discount or wait for a bigger discount later?
