There’s always something special about getting a greeting card in the mail, especially because everyone texts nowadays. However, greeting cards can be expensive. That’s why you definitely want to make a stop at the Tattered Cover for its Epic Greeting Card Sale — starting March 28, 2025. We don’t know for sure, but it appears the iconic bookstore may be clearing out its existing stock for a new vendor or they may be getting rid of greeting cards completely.

In any case, now’s the time to stock up on birthday, thank you, get well and congratulations cards! The Tattered Cover is known for having a great selection of cards from small independent and local artists. They are not the same cards you find in the grocery store — very unique and fun.
Boxed sets of cards are only $5 and individual cards are just $2. Get there early for the best selection!
NOTE: The sale is limited to select cards marked DC on the back — not all cards in stock. If you can’t find them, ask an employee which cards are included. Selection varies by location.
All four Tattered Cover locations are participating in the greeting card sale:
Colfax Ave. – 2526 E. Colfax Ave.
Aspen Grove – 7301 S. Santa Fe Dr.
Stanley Marketplace – 2501 Dallas St.
Union Station – 1701 Wynkoop St.
I made a special trip to Tattered Cover for this sale, which is not close to my house. It was very disappointing! Not all the cards are on sale!! There were only a few racks of cards for sale, and many of them were rather odd. Most of the ones that are for sale are quite small cards, not full-size, and would probably only be worth about two dollars anyway.
