There’s just one full weekend, plus the following Friday left on this deal. Do you fondue? Whether you like to play with your food, get together with friends, need some cheap family therapy or don’t want to wait six months for a Valentine’s Day romantic dinner, The Melting Pot is the solution.
Fondue is all about dipping — artisan breads and vegetables into cheese, chicken, beef and seafood into broth and fruit and cake into chocolate. It’s the ultimate DIY meal, because you choose what you want to dip and what you want to dip it into.
During August, The Melting Pot Littleton and The Melting Pot Lousiville are offering a deeply discounted, super dinner special to MHOTC readers (of course, you can tell your friends, too). On Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, two can dine for $49. Normally, dinner costs $40 per person, so the savings are huge! Read on for details and learn how to get this deal.
The Melting Pot offers a truly unique dining experience created by the art of fondue. The leisurely multi-course dining experience (the average meal takes about 2 to 2.5 hours) sets it apart from other restaurants, giving you the gift of time to enjoy each other’s company.
That means you can turn off the cell phones and get your kids to talk about what’s on their mind (the cheap family therapy part).
Or catch up with with friends while dipping away (the play with food aspect that taps into our inner child, but also works on kids). Or turn up the romance with your sweetie (no special occasion required).
For fondue novices, here’s a short video that shows what it’s about about:
But you want to know about the delicious deal. Every weekend in August, two can dine for $49. This is a special “unadvertised” menu. Your starter is Wisconsin Cheddar cheese fondue with artisan breads and seasonal vegetables for dipping.
Next is the entrée — a variety of all-natural chicken breast, shrimp, Teriyaki-marinated sirloin, chicken potstickers, a featured ravioli and seasonal vegetables that you cook yourself in a vegetable broth.
The perfect ending to your meal? Chocolate fondue, of course. Get fresh strawberries, blondies, bananas, pineapple, marshmallow treats, pound cake and brownies to dip into melted milk, dark or white chocolate.
If you are ready for this mouthwatering meal, you can make a dinner reservation at either The Melting Pot Littleton or The Melting Pot Louisville. If you make your reservation online, in the “Special Requests” box, type in “I want the 2 for $49 deal I saw on Mile High On The Cheap” or even “2 for $49” — they’ll know what you mean.
If you make a reservation over the phone, mention the 2 for $49 dinner deal. And if you totally forget to do anything of this, that’s okay. Just mention the 2 for $49 menu to your server before ordering. That’s the only way to get the special menu.
