“Edu-tainters” Jeff & Paige are coming to Denver and bringing their new album Little Songs, Big Science: Musical STEAM for Kids with them. The duo perform at the Mercury Cafe on Sunday, March 17 at 11 a.m. This is an hour-long nature and science themed kids’ concert (best for those ages 2 to 8) full of educational/hilarious skits, quick costume changes and tons of audience participation.
Jeff & Paige have perfected a playful performance style that combines the duo’s vivid storytelling and first-rate musical abilities to capture their love of the outdoors and respect for ecology. While sharing, through story and song, a bevy of information about science, nature, and the environment, Jeff & Paige make a point of never talking down to kids.
Adults are often impressed by the ease with which Jeff & Paige’s youthful audience grasps the advanced scientific terminology and concepts presented by this dynamic duo.
Jeff and Paige, in their signature rockin’ rainbow socks, will include music from all six of their award-winning albums including new music from their latest release, “Little Songs, Big Science: Musical STEAM For Kids.” This album is so much more than music.
Get out of the lab and into science and nature with Jeff & Paige on this musical inquiry of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math). These simple melodies and kickin’ beats will help introduce your child to the science of air pressure, melting points, animal diets, seed dispersal and more.
After you’ve had a dance party with the carnivores, herbivores, and omnivores, and hiked through the desert looking for cacti you can find simple, fun, engaging activities and experiments to accompany each song and take the learning deeper.
The album comes complete with a mini do-it-yourself science curriculum for home or school. The experiments and activities that accompany each song are simple, fun and engaging for the whole family.
