If you live in or nearby Lakewood, you know there’s only one place for all your floral needs — Veldkamp’s Flowers & Gifts at 9501 W. Colfax Ave. They been in the flower business since 1959. However, the shop is so much more than “just flowers.” The boutique has an amazing selection of gifts of all kinds — from baby gifts to home décor.

There are lots of unique and stylish items, as well as a great selection of fun and quirky treasures — including candles, books, jewelry, baby gifts, men’s gifts, home décor, beauty items (lotions, perfumes, etc.), candy and more. You could easily spend an hour or so just perusing the shop.
It’s all the stuff you would expect to find in a gift shop, but with a little more flair and a bit fancier. Some of the items are on the expensive side, but there are also many reasonably-priced gifts. And, with the storewide discount, the prices are even better and more budget friendly.
Now’s the time for bargain hunters to start preparing for the upcoming holidays, because the shop is holding an amazing sale with most everything at 30% off. The sale runs from August 1 to 31, 2024.
The only exceptions are greeting cards, plants (including flowers) and pots, as well as a few select plush animals. (Basically, anything on the greenhouse side of the shop is not on sale.) If you’re unsure of what’s on sale, just ask one of the friendly employees.
