Voodoo Doughnut is celebrating its 20th birthday in May. For the month, the popular doughnut shop’s featured treat is the Birthday Cake doughnut — stuffed with a creamy strawberry filling, dipped in vanilla frosting and topped with colorful sprinkles. If you’ve never been, now’s the time to find out why the doughnut shop has such fanatical following.
Established in Portland, Oregon in 2003, Voodoo Doughnut became a pioneer in the gourmet doughnut category. The shop’s unique and iconic flavors, such as the Bacon Maple Bar, Memphis Mafia and The Cannolo, have gained widespread recognition.
With more than 50 flavors, including 25 vegan alternatives, Voodoo Doughnut emphasizes the customer experience, employee incentives and community engagement through charitable initiatives.
Voodoo Doughnut opened their first Denver shop at 1520 E. Colfax Ave. in 2013 and a second location at 98 S. Broadway in 2019. There’s a location opening in Boulder soon! (There is also a location at DIA, but they are not participating in the birthday specials. However, they will offer the Birthday Cake doughnuts.)
Even sweeter, every Tuesday in May, Voodoo Doughnut is offering a delicious deal sure to delight doughnut lovers in Denver.
There is no limit, so grab some extra doughnuts to share at the office or with the family.
