Updated with new info about closing sales. Walgreens will close six Colorado stores in February. The stores are located in Denver, Aurora, Federal Heights and Arvada. If you fill your prescription at one of the closing locations, you will receive a notice telling you where your prescriptions are being transferred. No word yet on if the stores will have going-out-of-business sales or will simply transfer their merchandise to other locations.

12051 E. Mississippi Ave., Aurora (at S. Peoria St.) — closing February 19
15301 E. Iliff Ave., Aurora (at S. Chambers Rd.) — closing February 24
3555 Colorado Blvd., Denver (at E. 36th Ave.) — closing February 26
6360 E. Evans Ave., Denver (at Monaco) — closing February 27
6395 Sheridan Blvd., Arvada (at 64th Ave.) — closing February 20
1601 W. 84th Ave., Federal Heights (at Pecos) — closing February 6
NEW 02/01/25: This info came from MHOTC Jacq about the Walgreens at 6360 E. Evans Ave. The store was about 60% full of merchandise and this location had orange tags on the items that were discounted. The discounts were greater and there was a larger percentage of items with discounts than the location on Colorado Blvd. Some items were not discounted at all.
NEW 01/25/25: This info came from MHOTC reader Jacq about the Walgreens at 3555 N. Colorado Boulevard. The store had a closing soon sign and had about 60% of its merchandise left in the store. There were orange tags on some, but not all of the items in the store with additional discounts. The orange tags had a new price, so it was not say 20% off of the original price. Some items were discounted more than others and other items were not discounted at all.
Last October, the company announced it would close about 1,200 under-performing stores.

I was notified that the Walgreens at 6395 Sheridan Blvd in Arvada is closing 02/20/2025.
