Water World is making a big splash for its 45th anniversary on August 4, 2024. The popular attraction has been causing big waves of fun for families and friends every summer since 1979. It’s become a summertime tradition to visit the park for kids of all ages. Whether you prefer the tranquility of the Lazy River or thrills of the water coaster Roaring Forks, there’s something to enjoy for everyone.

Water World is celebrating its 45th anniversary season with a variety of fun activities throughout the park on August 4, 2024. The park will be open for the day from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
There is no additional charge or ticket required for the 45th anniversary celebration. All of the fun festivities are included with regular admission or Season Pass.
Mermaid Photos
From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., stop by the Alpine Springs area for a meet-and-greet with the Mermaids. It’s great opportunity to snap some unique and memorable photos for social media or to share with friends.
Free Concert
Rock out! From 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., the Wash Park Band will take the stage at Thunder Bay for a FREE concert.
Mascot Appearances
The water park’s loveable mascots Walliver and Winnie will visit the dance floor at Thunder Bay throughout the concert.
Elite Season Pass Giveaway
Stop by Thunder Bay for your chance to win an Elite Season Pass for the 2025 season.
Visitors ages 18+ can enter from noon to 4 p.m. The winner will be announced shortly thereafter from the concert stage. You must be present to win.
Celebratory Sweets
Cheers! Adults (21 and older) can visit The Lodge to purchase the limited-time Tidal Wave — featuring a frozen blue citrus base, Pina Colada on top, whipped cream and cherry & orange garnish.
And everyone can stop by Thunder Bay at the end of the concert at 5:15 p.m. to enjoy a FREE Anniversary Cookie, while supplies last.
