With a full orchestra and an ever-so-talented, inter-generational cast of 50 people, the Highlands Ranch-based Wesley Players Theatre Company presents four performances of Mary Poppins: The Broadway Musical. Performances will be held at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, February 27, 28 and March 1, 2025, at 7 p.m., with a 2 p.m. matinee on March 1 & 2, 2025.
The jack-of-all trades, Bert, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep.
Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family members how to value each other again. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren’t the only ones upon whom she has a profound effect.
Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that “Anything can happen if you let it.”
The Wesley Players Theatre Company is an independent, community theatre group in residence at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church that brings together people of all ages and experience levels, from within the church and from the wider community, to perform drama productions and musicals.
Tickets can be purchased online for $20 each ($18 for students and seniors). Part of the proceeds support missions at St. Luke’s UMC.
